The Consistory of Christ Reformed Church is responsible for the day-to-day operations and spiritual well-being of the church.
The Consistory is made up of six (6) Deacons & three (3) Elders who are elected by majority vote at the annual business meeting held in December. Elders are mainly concerned with the spiritual matters within the church, while the Deacons manage the day-to-day operations of the church and are responsible for one or more CommitteesAndGroups, including:
- MissionsCommittee - Charged with delivering the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
- PropertyCommittee? - Charged with the upkeep of the church building, parsonage, and the picnic grove.
- HistoricalArchivesCommittee? - Charged with keeping all our historical records, and with historical items within our church.
- FinanceCommittee? - Charged with developing the annual budget, getting our year-end statements audited, and giving advice to the Consistory regarding monetary issues.
- CemeteryCommittee? - Charged with selling grave sites, mapping out the graves, and the upkeep of the cemetery.
- MusicAndWorshipCommittee - Charged with not only the music in the worship service, but with the worship service itself.
- MensFellowship? - Group of men within the church who meet for Bible Study, and for various service projects within the church. Our biggest project each year is the annual Oyster & Ham Supper.
- BoardOfChristianEducation - Charged with the Sunday School program.
