Music Ministry at Christ Reformed Church

The adult choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary.

Each Sunday the choir participates in the church service by singing an anthem. The choir also participates in the services at several retirement home in the surrounding area, usually during an evening or Sunday afternoon. We also present a Christmas Cantata the Sunday before Christmas during the morning worship service. The adult choir is open to any individual from 9th grade on.

There is also a Childrens Choir and a Cherub Choir that sings during the worship service each month. The Children’s Choir rehearses on a Thursday evening before Pioneer Club. The Cherub Choir rehearsal is Sunday mornings after the worship service.

Another part of music at Christ Reformed Church is the Indian Creek Orchestra. They play each Sunday for the opening of Sunday School during the Advent Season and the Christmas Eve Service. The orchestra is composed of several instruments and open to anyone, young and old.

A Chimes Choir and a Bell Choir consisting of young and old with rehearsals held on Sundays after Church for approximately one-half hour.

During the Lenten Season solosists as well as the Indian Creek Quartet provide music during the service.

With the addition of our sound system we are now able to have accompanying trax or tapes and cd’s for anthems or for soloists.

The Choirs do not sing during the summer months, guest soloists or instrumental selections become part of the worship service.
